What moms are saying.

Without this ministry, I would never have survived the last ten years with my daughter. Never in my wildest imagination would I have known just how much I would need a support system with the daughter I have. Women in this ministry have prayed for me, they have babysat my other daughter as I jumped in ambulances, they have provided countless meals for my family in my absence, they have driven many miles back and forth from my house to the hospital bringing clothes, toiletries, snacks, blankets and company when I felt alone. I will never be able to give back what this ministry has given me.

“Mom2Mom has had a significant impact on me over the past eight years. The lessons I have learned and the relationships I have developed have helped shape me into the mother I am today. I have experienced this ministry as both a participant and a leader, and I am a better mom to my five boys due to my involvement. Mom2Mom is a place where I can share the joys and struggles of motherhood with other moms going through the same thing.”

“I remember that first year like it was yesterday. I went from a stranger in the community to having a precious group of friends and a mentor. Something I always pray for my family is to have friends that stick closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24) and to have a Johnathan in our lives as David did. Mom2Mom has answered that prayer over and over for me in so many wonderful ways. I have stayed with Mom2Mom throughout the years because of the mentorship, teaching, and fellowship that have had such a beautiful impact on my life. I leave every Mom2Mom meeting feeling renewed and recharged.”

“When I look back over those critical years of raising my Littles, my time at mom to mom, and the mentors that I received made all the difference in my parenting!”

— Kellie

“The most remarkable thing of all was the mentor mom. Every week a truly giving, loving, and patient older mom would listen. She would really listen to us and give us advice only if we asked. Then she would just love us. Through her love, she would teach us how to love each other, our children, our families, and then ourselves.”

I feel like Mom2Mom was an absolute life raft during my early years as a mom. My daughters are 27 months apart, and as any mom knows, having a toddler and a nursing baby is not for the faint-hearted. To have moms to talk to who were in the same phase of life, experiencing the same emotions and challenges as me, let me know that I was not alone in a time where a new mother could become overwhelmed in an instant. The relationships I formed with the other ladies as well as the guidance of amazing leaders, helped me not only survive but thrive, in my early years as a parent. No matter how much time passes, I will always look back on Mom2Mom with thankfulness.
